Dear Parents, 

We hope you enjoyed your weekend! It is hard to believe that we only have 8 more days to go in First Grade. We will devote these days to review all the concepts learned. Our last day of school will be June 5th.

We will be reviewing some key concepts learned throughout the school year. If you have any board games that we can play at school, have your child bring them to share the fun. They can also bring toys that they are willing to share with their friends. Avoid sending in noisy/battery toys or toys that can easily be damaged.

For our end of the year celebration, you will be contacted by Mrs. Melissa via chat. Thanks in advance for all your help.

Language Arts

Word Wall- This week your child will be reviewing all the Word Walls with various chants and activities. Our last spelling challenge will be on Friday, May 31st. These will be the LAST sight words that will be introduced to your child. We are up to 200 words!!! These words are the following:

For the remaining weeks in First Grade, we are going to be reviewing the different types of writing learned throughout the year. These include opinion, narrative and informative.

In Math, we are going to learn about solid shapes and we are going to be introducing the concept of fractions.
