June 3rd - June 5th

Dear Parents,

We hope you enjoyed your weekend! These are the last 3 days of first grade and we have exciting events happening.
Our last day of school will be June 5th.

These three days will be half days for the students. The students will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m.

The students will be visiting the grade they will be promoted to on Monday, June 3rd. The purpose of this event is to give our students an idea of what is in store for them as they enter the next grade. Our students will visit a classroom at the next grade level for an overview of that grade level and a question/answer period. The class they attend will not necessarily be their class or teacher but it will give them an opportunity to see and hear what the next grade level is all about and the fun that will be in store for them next year!
Fun activities and lots of exciting news will be shared with them!

This is going to be a bitter-sweet week. It is time to say good- bye to our lovely students but at the same time we know that they are ready to move on in their lives. They are all excited to go to SECOND GRADE… hooray!!! We will devote this week to have fun. We will also be reviewing some key concepts learned throughout the school year. If you have any board games that we can play at school, have your child bring them to share the fun. They can also bring toys that they are willing to share with their friends. Avoid sending in noisy/battery toys or toys that can easily be damaged.

The last day of school… the closing of one door and the opening of another. We want to thank each child for all the warmth, the memories, and the learning that we have shared this school year. To our students we say THANK YOU! For when we teach, we also learn. This past year  we have grow together. A little bit of each of you will always be with us. Always strive to be the BEST that you can be!
To the parents, we say THANK YOU for allowing us to be your child´s
First Grade teacher. It has been a wonderful and rewarding year for us. We will love your child always and we will always keep them in our hearts!
