My name is Ms.Silvia Davis, I want to
share with you some of my background as a teacher. I worked in all levels at
many schools, Elementary, Middle and High school. I have taught in English and
Spanish. My family and I love working overseas because we have the chance to
meet different cultures and school communities. I am originally from Guatemala
City and studied at Universidad Del Valle de Guatemala to be certified as a
teacher.

- Instruction time must include a variety of activities.
- Every child should feel safe in the school environment.
- Discipline should be firm, consistent, and constructive.
- Assessment should be differentiated to meet student needs.
- That is student is unique and valued individual.
- We should have clear goals that need to be shared with students.
- Children must learn in an atmosphere of confidence, caring, and trust.
- Students need to develop and apply essential academic and life skills.
- Responsibility for a student´s success is shared by all stakeholders.
