Wednesday May 1st there will be NO SCHOOL due to Honduran Labor Day.

Reports will be issued next Friday May 3rd. Please encourage your
child to stay focused in this last haul of the school year.

Childhood will have a special celebration for Mother’s on May 9th. This celebration will start at 8:30 a.m. We hope that we can count with all of our MOMMIES. If there is a Mom that is unable to come, Aunts and Grandmas are welcome to join the fun!
The summons for the Spring
General Assembly will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday,
May 11. A quorum for this assembly is
needed for the approval of the 2019-2020 School Budget. Please
mark your calendar and support the Board of Directors and the school by
attending this assembly and voting for the important matters that will be
presented then.
Parents
please mark your calendars for 10:15 a.m. on Friday, May 24. Because
of the great success last year, we are once again turning our Discovery Idol
into a SPRING CONCERT where our students will showcase their advances in Music
Class. We hope to see you all there!
This week your child will be reviewing all the Word Walls with various chants and activities. The spelling challenge will be on Friday, May 3rd. The five new words that we will be introducing this week are:

We are going to continue reading Nate the Great. The students will have the chance to act out as detectives. Last week we discussed the vocabulary for the book. We will continue making predictions about what will happen throughout the story.
In Math we are going to introduce the concept of Time. The children will make a variety of activities related to time. If you have digital clocks, analog clocks, watches, timers, alarm clocks, etc. at home we would appreciate to borrow them from you.
