Discovery Idol is on Wednesday, May 24th starting at 10:00am. Come check out and support the amazing talents we have here at Discovery! This day is also an early dismissal, so the children will be dismissed at 11:45am.

This week your child will be reviewing all the Word Walls with various chants and activities. The LAST spelling challenge will be on Friday, May 26th. With the following seven words that will be introduced next week we are up to 200 Fry Words!!! Way to go First Graders! Please do not stop practicing all these words during the summer break!

 This week, you child will begin creating their reflection piece about first grade.  

The students will finish with the poster they started creating last week. They have been very excited about doing their first research about their animal of interest.

This week your child will continue working with fractions and we will review 1 grade math skills.

SPORTS DAY FRIDAY, MAY 26 - Next Friday, Nursery to 8th grade will participate in a fun sports morning. The activities for that day are as follows

Nursery to Grade 2: will enjoy the Kids Athletics’ Stations in the lower field, from 8:50 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Students in these grades need to wear the following colored t-shirt

              Nursery – red                      PreK – blue  

                                      Kinder – yellow                    

            Grade 1 – white                  Grade 2 – green
