I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!
Please remember that there will be a General Assembly on Saturday, May 20th, at 9:00 a.m.  Among the issues to be addressed are 
1) the school calendar, 
2) the budget for the coming year, and 
3) the election of board members.  
Please mark this on your calendars.  This week your child will be inquiring into the following: 

 This week your child will be reviewing all the Word Walls with various chants and activities. The spelling challenge will be on Friday, May 19th. The six new words that we will be introducing this week are:

 For reading, we will continue reading fables to learn about respect and responsibility. We will read The Fox and the Crow  and The Lion and the Mouse.





This week, you child will be writing an informative piece on their selected animal.






We will be wrapping our unit on Amazing Plans and Habitats.

ANIMATRONICS FIELDTRIP – Students Kindergarten through grade 5 will be visiting the Animatronics exhibit at Chiminike on Friday, May 19, 2017. Please send the L150 by Tuesday. Parents are needed to chaperone this amazing activity. 




FOURTH  GRADE  NEWS
Fourth graders are working on an advertisement campaign along with the School Environmental Committee.  The students  have worked very hard on this project and have created a variety of promotional material to publicize the project. Feel free to view the following videos:
