May 29 - June 2

Dear Parents, 

We hope you enjoyed your weekend! This is the last week of first grade and we have many exciting events happening this week. Our last day of school will be June 2nd. 

This is going to be a bitter sweet week. It is time to say good- bye to our lovely students but at the same time we know that they are ready to move on in their lives. They are all excited to go to SECOND GRADE… hooray!!! We will devote this week to have fun. We will also be reviewing some key concepts learned throughout the school year. If you have any board games that we can play at school, have your child bring them to share the fun. They can also bring toys that they are willing to share with their friends. Avoid sending in noisy/battery toys or toys that can easily be damaged.

We will be going on a field trip to Quinta Bella for our End of the Year Party. We will be leaving school around 8:15 a.m. and returning back to school around 1:30 p.m. Make sure you sign the permission slip stating that you authorize your child riding the bus with one of our moms who kindly volunteered to drive us to Quinta Bella and back to school. Please make sure your child brings everything they will need at the pool such as swimsuit, towels, sunblock, sandals, goggles, etc. Please avoid bringing large inflatable toys. Snacks and Lunch will be provided by all of you who signed in to bring something. Thank you for supporting this celebration.

The last day of school… the closing of one door and the opening of another. I want to thank each child for all the warmth, the memories, and the learning that we have shared this school year. To my students I say THANK YOU! For when I teach, I also learn. This past year (and for some these past two years) we have grown together. A little bit of each of you will always be with me. Always strive to be the BEST that you can be!

To the parents, I say THANK YOU for allowing me to be your child´s First Grade teacher. It has been a wonderful and rewarding year for me. I will love your child always!
