Week 22- January 21st-25th

Dear Parents,

We hope everyone had a nice long weekend!
We would like to remind all parents that your child will be taking his/her first MAP assessment tomorrow, Tuesday, January 22nd. Please make sure that your child gets plenty of sleep Monday night, eats a healthy breakfast and comes to school with water. For our new parents, there is information about the MAP assessments on the right hand side of the blog, under the 'Pages' heading.

Mr. Vincent Taylor, the middle school English teacher, is collecting used clothing to donate to a medical charity. If you or your child happen to have any old clothes that you do not need, please send the clean and folded items to school with your child. They will be passed on to Mr. Taylor.

100 Days of School is just around the corner. We ask that every first grader wears 100 of something or make a t-shirt with 100 things stuck to it. We would like all the students to wear their item (s) to school for the 100 Days Celebration on Wednesday, January 30th.

Last, we would like your help. If you have any American coins and would like to donate them, we would greatly appreciate it. Pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters is what we need. We will be using the coins to skip count and in the money unit

This week your child will inquire into the following:
