Week 4- September 3rd-7th

Dear Parents,

We hope everyone had a good weekend!
Just to remind all parents to please pay the class fee of 2000Lempira to your homeroom teacher as soon as possible. Also, there are number of parents that have not signed up for the 'Classroom Event' helper. There a number of events that still need your help; Thanksgiving ( 2 parents are still needed), 100 Days of School (1 parent is still needed), Easter Celebration (2 parents are still needed) and the End of Year Celebration (1 parent is still needed). As mentioned at the Open House, this is not a huge responsiblity, we, the teachers, are here to help you and have most of the ideas. You would be responsible to calculate the cost (if any of the event) and join us for these events (most are hosted here at school). Please send a note with your child on Monday with the event you would like to participate in. You help is HUGELY appreciated!
Also, we would like to remind all parents that there will be NO school for grades Nursery to Grade 5 on Thursday and Friday, September 6th and 7th. The Discovery teachers are making the necessary accommodations in the delivery of the curriculum to make sure that this does not affect the instruction of our students. As only a few of the secondary teachers will attend the training, the Middle and High School students will have classes as normal on Thursday and Friday, September 6th and 7th. We thank our parents for their support and understanding in this matter, and encourage anyone who has a question to email our Head of School, Ms. Debbie Giles at debgilespk@yahoo.com.
