Reading and Writing will
be tied up together for the following weeks. Last quarter we focused on
Informative Writing. For this last quarter we will be discussing make-believe
or fantasy. We are going to start with a unit on Fairy Tales. The children will
be exposed to a variety of very well-known fairy tales and we will be
discussing different versions of them.
We will
continue practicing Two-Digit Addition and Subtraction. You may want to practice with your child at home. If you do, please emphasize that we always need to start with the ones place.
In Science we
are going to be discussing the scientific method. We are going to start getting
ready for our Science Fair which will be held on April 5th. To do this, we are going to be conducting
several experiments in the class.
