Dear Parents,

I hope you all enjoyed your last weekend. Last Friday Progress Reports went home. Make sure that you send it back with your signature on it.

This Friday is a half day. Students will be leaving school at 11:45 a.m.

This week your child will be inquiring in the following:

This week your child will be reviewing all the Word Walls with various chants and activities. The spelling challenge will be on Friday, February 22^nd. The five new words that we will be introducing this week are:

1.     W.1 Complete the sentence with a noun to match the picture

2.    W.2 Compare pictures using adjectives

3.    W.3 Use number words

We are going to be reading stories from Owl at Home. We are going to be predicting, identifying the setting and talking about Character Traits.

Your child will continue comparing numbers (greater than, less than). We will be having a Math Test on Wednesday, February 20^th about this chapter.

We will be starting a new unit in Maps. We will be learning and drawing pictorial maps. If you have any maps, globe, compasses, or any other resource that is related to this theme and you would like to share, please bring them in and have your child's name on them.
