April 23 - 27

Dear Parents,

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I want to start by thanking each one of you who came to our Fairy Tales presentation. The children all did an extraordinary job and deserved the special treats they received.

This week your child will be inquiring into the following:

This week your child will be reviewing all the Word Walls with various chants and activities. The spelling challenge will be on Friday, April 27^th.

In Reading we are going to continue reading about Nate the Great. The children are having such a great time acting out like detectives to solve different cases. They are making very good predictions about the story.

We are going to be wrapping our unit on two digit addition and subtraction with a Math Test on Friday, April 27th. Please practice with your child at home emphasizing that they ALWAYS need to start with the ones place.

In Science we are going to continue learning about Space Sytems. This week the children will be learning about the different phases of the moon.

It is the hot season in Honduras. Please make sure that your child brings a water bottle to school every day. It would be great if you can send them with sunscreen too.

We would like to invite our beautiful MOMS to a special celebration that will take on May 10^th at 8:30 a.m. For this, we are asking our DADDIES to send us in Lps. 200 that will be used for the gift and for the breakfast.

 Monday, April 30^th and Tuesday May 1^st are holidays. We will see each other again on Wednesday, May 2^nd.
