We hope you enjoyed
your weekend! It is a short week, but a lot of things are happening, so make
sure to read everything!
On Wednesday, November 23rd, we will have a Thanksgiving Lunch, so your child ONLY needs to bring a snack on this day. There will be no school on Thursday and Friday (November 24th and 25th) because of the Thanksgiving Holidays. We would like to take the opportunity to thank all the parents that are involved in donating the food for this special celebration. For our Christmas celebration we would kindly request the help of the rest of you that were not involved this time.

For Discovery School, it is very important to teach our students about sharing and helping others. Angelitos Del Dia is a perfect way to help show our kids just how easy this can be and how we can make a difference in our community.
"Angelitos del Dia" helps newborn babies born at Materno Infantil Hospital here in Tegucigalpa. They provide moms with newborn essentials (blankets, pajamas, socks, hats, wash cloths, towels, diapers, baby wipes, baby soap and baby shampoo).
Your child will be taking an empty bag home this week. Please feel free to donate as many items as you wish by placing them in the bag. Send the bag back by November 28th.
Look at the link below so you can see what it is all about.
Our annual Christmas bazaar is taking soon! For additional information if you´d like to participate send an email to discovery.bazaar@gmail.com
It is always the season to open our hearts and share with those around us that need it most. It has been a tradition at Discovery School for students to come together and contribute in assembling baskets of goods for our support personnel. We are asking for your cooperation in sending the following:
First Grade:
1-5 lbs of sugar
Please feel free to send any additional goodies that you want to share with our devoted staff, such as canned goods, instant soups, cookies and crackers, or anything else that does not require refrigeration. Please send these items no later than Friday, December 2. Your cooperation will be deeply appreciated.
