Dear Parents, 
We hope you enjoyed your long weekend! 

Bingo Night is on February 19th. If you would like to attend, please contact a DPTO member or Ms. Gaby in the office to purchase your bingo tickets. 
There is a Family Lunch on this day. Please place your order before Wednesday, February 17th, by contacting the Wolves Cafeteria at 9734-7235. The cost for adults is 150 lempiras and the cost for a child is 100 lempiras. 

We would like to ask you for your cooperation. Lately, the first graders have been playing games that are quite physical: play-fighting, throwing rocks and bark. We have talked to the kids about this and would like you to talk to your child about this as well.  

This week your child will be inquiring into the following: 

Language Arts
Word Wall- This week your child will be reviewing all the Word Walls with various chants and activities. The spelling challenge will be on Friday, February 19th.

Vocabulary: through, say, great, where, help, car

Reading: For this week, we will reading Owl at Home by Arnold Lobel.  

Writing: The students will be describing characters and recalling events in the story.  

Science:  We will be wrapping up our unit in Solids and Liquids. Students will be presenting their work about what they learned about solid and liquids. 

Math- This week your child will learn about adding and subtracting two digit number. The skill builders  on IXL (Skills C and Skills E) are great practice for this unit.

For Everyone:  

DPTO BINGO – We would like to invite all our school community to join the DPTO in a wonderful night of great food, awesome prices and lots of fun. The Bingo will take place on Friday, February 19 at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are L200 and can be purchased from any DPTO member or Ms. Gaby is in the office.

CAFETERIA LUNCH – The School Cafeteria is inviting all parents to come and have lunch with their child(ren) this Fridday, February 19. Order forms will be sent home on Tuesday.
