Week 13

Dear Parents,

I Hope you enjoyed your weekend!

It was a pleasure meeting with all of you at conference time. If you have any questions or comments about your child’s report card or MAP results please contact me so we can meet.

There is no school for grade 1 Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th. Classes resume on Wednesday, October 30th.

All the parents are invited to stay and partake in the annual U.N. Day celebrations here at school starting at 8:30a.m. on Wednesday. This is a very fun and exciting day for all, where parents and children get together to learn about new cultures. The grade 1 students created a U.N. cartoon and wrote an informational piece about what they learned about the United Nations. They are displayed in the office, make sure to stop by and check it out. This is also a half day. All students will be going home at 11:45 a.m.

'Book Character Day' is not too far away. I would like to remind you that your child will be encouraged to come dressed like his/her favorite book character on Thursday, October 31st. Your child must also be ready to present his/her costume and book to the class. Lower elementary will be having  a costume parade starting at 8:15. There is a link to 'Country Living' that shows how to make homemade costumes under the 'Links' heading for the parents who are thinking of making a costume.
