March 27-31


We hope you enjoyed your weekend! We have a busy two weeks coming up.
Easter is right around the corner. Please send in one dozen (12) plastics eggs for our Easter party. You are more than welcome to send us more if you wish.  The plastic eggs are available at Mas X Menos, Stock, and Yip! Please send them in as soon as possible. Our Party will take place on Friday, April 7th at Sofia’s Estrada house located at El Hatillo. Children should bring their own Easter basket for the hunt. We need your cooperation with Lps. 100 (50 for the bus and 50 for some treats). We will be sending home a note with your child stating how you can help with the Easter party. If you have any questions, please contact us.
This week your child will be inquiring into the following: 

Language Arts
Word Wall- This week your child will be reviewing all the Word Walls with various chants and activities. The spelling challenge will be on Thursday, March 30th. Remember that this coming Friday the children do not come to school. The six new words that we will be introducing this week are:

Reading We are going to start reading Grasshopper on the Road by Arnold Lobel.

Social Studies/Writing: Your child will continue learning about spiders. We are going to discuss different kinds, where do they live, and what do they like to eat. Children will be doing some writing pieces about this special arachnid!

Math- This week your child will continue learning about clocks and time. We will start learning about picture graphs. We are going to have a Math Test on Wednesday, March 29th.

Dear Parents, 
We hope you enjoyed your long weekend! It is starting to get hot in the afternoon. Please remember to have your child bring in refillable water bottle and a hat. Please make sure to put bug spray and sunscreen on a daily basis.

 For this week, we will be starting a new unit and learning all about spiders. 

To wrap up our unit, the children came up with a different version of very well known fairy tales. They have been working very hard on putting them together by creating scenery and role-modeling. For this reason we would like to invite you all this Friday, March 24th to see these wonderful presentations. We will be presenting them to you at 10:30 a.m. If you can join us, we would really appreciate if you can come on time.

We hope you enjoyed your weekend!
Students are getting ready for Father’s Day. We will have a small presentation on Thursday March 16th. Students should come dressed as in the 90’s. DADDIES, please mark your calendars so you can join us this day at 8:30 a.m. After that, you can walk around and see the wonderful art projects your child has worked on in school. Parents are all welcome to come and enjoy this wonderful art exhibition.
