September 4-8

Dear Parents,
I hope you enjoyed your weekend!
Our school is preparing to celebrate the Independence Day that will take place on Wednesday September 13th.
We will begin the celebrations with a Desayuno Tipico, followed by cultural presentations in each grade. First grade is in charge of presenting about the Bay Islands. If you happen to have anything related about these gorgeous islands, (corals, map, souvenirs, etc) please let me know so we can use them for our presentation. Each child will have to learn a small phrase to present.  I would love to have the kids wearing clothes as if they were going to the beach on this day (Sept. 13th) such as hats, sunglasses, sandals, towels, sundresses, etc. Please avoid swimsuits.
We will be practicing our presentation during the following days.

Each student is also responsible to bring in his/her assigned food item. These items will be assigned on Thursday and a note will be sent home in your child's folder.  September 13th is a half day. Students will be going home at 11:45 am. Your child does not need to bring in a snack for break or lunch that day. There will be no school Thursday, September 14th, and Friday, September 15th. Classes resume on Monday, September 18th.
Thank you for having your kids practice IXL,Keep up the good work!!
