Week 40-June 3rd-7th

Dear Parents,

We hope everyone had a great weekend and are ready for the last week of school!
Tomorrow is the first grade Pet Day. The day will start with a show-and-tell of all the pets at 8:00 and then the children will be presenting their research in the Pet Museum.  All parents are welcome!
For the rest of the week, your child will be reviewing skills through various activities and games. The students will also be clearing our their cubby holes so please make sure your child brings his/her backpack to school everyday.
Just a reminder about this week. Monday, June 3rd, is a regular school day. Then, Tuesday-Thursday are half days. All students will be dismissed at 11:45 am. The Awards Ceremony will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am. All parents are welcome to attend.
Furthermore, we ask that all parents who have any questions, concerns, ideas, and/or suggestions regarding the stopping of the development of the concrete plant, please contact Ms. Wendy Willemsen, the board president, at wendywillemsen4@gmail.com.
Last, the Discovery Zone 4 camp will be beginning soon! If you would like more information about the camp, please visit the administration blog.
We have had a blast teaching your child this year and wish him/her the best of luck in second grade! There will be no homework for the summer, however, we encourage all students to continue practicing their math skill on IXL, as well as read daily and even keep a summer journal as a way to practice their writing. Have a great summer and see you in August!
