Dear Families,
I hoped everyone enjoyed their weekend!
Because of the October Holidays, we will not have school on Oct. 7th, 8th, and 9th; school will resume on October 12th.
This week, your child will inquire into the following:
Language Arts
Working With Words: Students will be reviewing the word wall words we have studied up to this point through various activities and chants. There will be no spelling challenge due to the short week!
Reading: We will be reading and creating poems regarding The Fat Cat Sat on the Mat.
Writing: Your child will continue writing and wrapping up the opinion piece regarding the book, The Fat Cat Sat on the Mat.
Math: For this week’s math, we will review concepts of subtractions learned in chapter 2. Your child will take the Chapter 2 test on Tuesday, so please make sure they are fully rested and have a great breakfast!
There are IXL skills I have added to the bottom of the blog. It’s a wonderful way to get some extra practice.

Social Studies: We will be learning about respect and honesty.
IXL skills for Ch.2: D.1, D.2, D.4, D.6,D.7, D.8,D.9,D.11, D.15
- Reading- read for 10 minutes and fill in the Reading Log
- Math- Practice an IXL skill from the list above
