I hope you all enjoyed your weekend.

This week your child will be inquiring into the following: 

Language Arts

Word Wall- This week your child will be reviewing all the Word Walls with various chants and activities. The spelling challenge will be on Friday, May 18th. The five new words that we will be introducing this week are:

change

off

play

spell

air

For the remaining weeks in First Grade, we are going to be reviewing the different types of writing learned throughout the year. These include opinion, narrative and informative.

For Reading, we will continue reading the story Frog and Toad Together by Arnold Lobel

In Math, we are going to continue learning about graphs. Children will be creating their own graph with information provided.

SUMMER CAMP AT DISCOVERY SCHOOL  - Just like last year, Discovery Zone is back!!! Discovery Zone 9 is a fun, artistic and entertaining camp for children 2 to 9 years old. The camp will run from June 11th to June 29th, with a schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00. Transportation is available at a small additional cost. If you or a relative/friend is interested, more information can be given to you by the accounting offices in school.
