We hope you enjoyed your weekend! We have a big week so please make sure you read everything!
On Friday, November 6th, we will have our field trip that was postponed, thus we will go to the Dinosaur exhibit. On this day, please make sure your child wears their Discovery School shirt. We will send the permission forms this week. The field will cost 130 lempiras, so please send us the money with the permission form.

This week your child will be inquiring into the following:
Language Arts
Word Wall- This week your child will be reviewing all the Word Wall words with various chants and activities. The spelling challenge will be on Thursday this week due to the field trip on Friday!
Spelling words: number, way, could, people, no
Reading: The students will start reading, Frog and Toad All Year. They will begin with the story, Down the Hill.
Writing:
This week, your child will learn more about poems with rhyming. They will create their own poems based on the poem/song, "Down by the Bay".
Science: The students will start learning about weather. We will discuss the different types of weather and begin using a thermometer to record temperature.
Math- This week your child will continue working on learning addition strategies such as making ten, adding three numbers.

DISCOVERY SPORTS
Basketball - We are getting ready for the ABSH Basketball
tournament. This will take place at the American School of Tegucigalpa, from
November 11 to November 14.
