Week 5 September 7-11

September 7, 2015
Dear Parents,

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.

This Friday, September 11th, school will be having their Independence Day celebrations starting at 9:00 am. We will begin the celebrations by having a traditional Honduran breakfast in the classroom. A note will be sent home asking you to help out with a certain food item (Some students may not receive a note, don’t panic; you will be helping out for our Book Character Celebration in October). We will be having breakfast from 8-8:50 a.m.
This is a half day. Students will be going home at 11:45 am. Your child does not need to bring in a snack for break or lunch that day. Your child is encouraged to wear traditional Honduran clothing or jeans and white shirt or the Honduran Soccer uniform. There is no school this Monday, September 14th, and Tuesday, Sept. 15th. Classes resume on Wednesday, Sept. 16th.
If you have any Honduran souvenirs, maps, coins etc. please send them in with your child so we can display them in our classroom.

This week, your child will inquire into the following:
